Central park hawks...

I have no idea how I got here....all of a sudden, I have a blog because I am an activist for the Central Park Hawks....Pale Male and Lola....I have been watching them for 10 years....and have brought my children and grandchildren to see them...Victoria...now almost 8....her first word was "hawk"....and at first we didn't understand....she was 18n months...but she pointed up....and kept saying her version of "hawk"...and we got it.

We have to help this nest be replaced....not a new box on the roof! That nest will not fall on the sidewalk....nary a stick has fallen down since he built the original one 11 years ago...(maybe more!)

This male red-tailed hawk is a gift of nature to all of us.....
